General Questions

Is the initial consultation free?
Yes, we offer a free initial consultation to evaluate your case and determine the most suitable surgical or treatment option. You can book your appointment by phone, WhatsApp, or the contact form on our website.
What is the appropriate age for cosmetic surgery?
The minimum age varies by procedure type. Rhinoplasty typically requires completion of growth (18 years). Some ear surgeries can be performed on children from age 6. There is no upper age limit as long as general health is good.
Can I have more than one procedure at the same time?
Yes, in many cases two or more procedures can be combined in a single anesthesia session, saving recovery time and reducing overall cost. The doctor evaluates the feasibility based on your health condition and the nature of the requested procedures.
Do you accept patients from outside Jordan?
Yes, our center welcomes patients from various countries. We provide remote pre-consultation to evaluate the case and plan the procedure before arriving in Amman. Visit our international patients page for more details.

Rhinoplasty

How much does rhinoplasty cost in Jordan?
The cost varies depending on the complexity of the case and whether the goal is purely cosmetic or also includes septum correction. The exact price is determined after a clinical examination. Contact us for a free initial evaluation.
Is rhinoplasty painful?
The procedure is performed under general anesthesia, so the patient feels no pain during it. After surgery, there may be some pressure and swelling for a few days, manageable with prescribed pain medication. Most patients describe the pain as mild and tolerable.
What is the difference between open and closed rhinoplasty?
In the closed approach, all incisions are inside the nose, leaving no visible external marks, but the surgeon's visibility is limited. The open approach adds a very small incision on the bridge between the nostrils, giving the surgeon better visibility and more modification possibilities. The surgical mark from the open approach becomes virtually invisible after full healing. The doctor chooses the most suitable approach based on each case.
How long is the recovery from rhinoplasty?
The splint is removed after one week, and you can return to desk work after 7-10 days. Mild swelling continues for weeks but is not noticeable to others. The final result is fully visible after 6-12 months when the nose shape has completely settled.
Is the rhinoplasty result permanent?
Yes, rhinoplasty results are permanent in most cases. Natural aging may gradually affect the nose shape as it does the rest of the face, but the surgical change remains stable for life.

Liposuction

Is liposuction dangerous?
Liposuction is a safe procedure when performed by a specialized surgeon in an accredited medical facility. As with any surgery, there are limited risks (such as infection or skin irregularity) that the doctor discusses transparently during the consultation. The vast majority of cases proceed smoothly.
Does the fat come back after the procedure?
The removed fat cells do not return, but remaining cells in other body areas can enlarge with weight gain. To maintain the result, a healthy diet and regular physical activity are recommended.
Which areas can be treated with liposuction?
Most body areas can be treated: abdomen and waist, buttocks and hips, thighs, arms, back, neck and under the chin, and knees. The doctor evaluates the suitable areas for your case during the consultation.

Hair Transplant

Is hair transplant permanent?
Yes. The transplanted follicles are taken from areas resistant to the balding hormone (usually the back of the head) and retain this property in their new location. The transplanted hair grows naturally and permanently for life.
When does the transplanted hair start growing?
The transplanted hair goes through a natural shedding phase in the first weeks — this is completely normal. New growth begins appearing after 3-4 months, and full density and final shape are achieved after 12-18 months.
What is the difference between FUE and DHI techniques?
In FUE, follicles are extracted with a micro-punch and then implanted in pre-opened channels. In DHI, the doctor uses a special pen (Choi Pen) that implants the follicle directly without pre-opening channels, allowing more precise control over the angle and direction of hair growth and higher density. The doctor chooses the appropriate technique based on your case.

Facelift

What is the difference between surgical and non-surgical facelift?
A surgical facelift delivers more comprehensive and longer-lasting results (7-10 years) as it works on the deep layers of skin and tissue. Non-surgical methods like threads and laser provide lighter improvements for shorter periods, suitable for mild cases. The doctor evaluates the right option based on the degree of sagging and your requirements.
How long do facelift results last?
A full surgical facelift result lasts on average 7 to 10 years. Factors affecting longevity include skin quality, lifestyle, sun exposure, and hormonal changes.
Will the result look natural or overly tight?
Dr. Ahmad Dawood prioritizes natural, harmonious results that blend with facial features. Modern facelift techniques work on the deep layers rather than just the skin, providing a refreshed appearance rather than an artificial one.

Safety & Risks

Are cosmetic surgeries safe?
Procedures in an accredited center with a specialized surgeon have very low complication rates. Risk increases in unaccredited facilities or with non-specialized surgeons. We conduct complete pre-surgical examinations and have a specialized anesthesiologist for every surgery.
Does smoking affect surgery?
Yes, directly — smoking reduces blood flow, slows healing, and raises the risk of complications in certain procedures (especially facelifts and breast surgery). We require quitting 4-6 weeks before and after surgery. This is a requirement, not a suggestion.

Costs & Payment

How much do cosmetic procedures cost in Amman?
Cost depends on the procedure and its complexity. Amman offers excellent medical standards at 40-60% less than Europe and the UAE with the same quality. We provide full cost details (surgery + anesthesia + hospital) after the consultation evaluation — no hidden costs.
Does health insurance cover cosmetic surgery?
Elective cosmetic procedures are not covered by most insurance plans in Jordan. Exceptions include reconstructive surgery after accidents or illness, some breast reduction cases for medical reasons, and eyelid surgery if it affects vision.
